POSITION SUMMARY
As an employee of Sioux Manufacturing, you are expected to present yourself in a professional manner to coworkers, other departments, customers, and vendors. While performing required production, will complete required setup and operate the water jet cutting machine to correctly process materials and ID marking of product. This position will follow all required processes and procedures, while completing necessary activities, and follow steps to produce top quality product per Sioux Manufacturing quality standards and documented client-provided requirements.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Correctly follow the applicable work instructions / processes, such as work order, traveler, MPS, engineer directive and other documented work instructions.
Report on assigned work orders.
Monitor garnet tank levels and add garnet as needed.
Monitor water and air pressure into machine.
Monitor garnet flow for blockage at line going to cutting head.
Prepare material for cutting (drill pilot holes, remove release ply, etc.).
Correctly load and unload material being processed onto and off the equipment.
Properly align material being cut.
Ensure correct nozzle size, speed, and height to ensure conforming material is produced.
Select proper cutting program from computer file(s) per documented instructions.
Complete required paperwork and marking of parts.
Obtain QA first piece approval on all new cutting programs as required.
Cut specific gravity samples for every ablative panel processed.
Inspect machine, and material for hazards and / or cause of errors, other problems, or defects and notify supervisor and maintenance personnel when a problem is assessed or detected.
Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
Correctly evaluate the quality of materials and / or products and record operational and / or production data as required per standard operating procedures.
While following all safety procedures and processes, properly maintain production equipment.
Consistently keep work areas clean, free of safety hazards, and assist others to do the same as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge :
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including who to communicate with regarding their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective operations for the safety of people, property, and Sioux Manufacturing.
Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and their applications.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Knowledge to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information
or data into separate parts to improve your skills and / or department processes.
Knowledge to develop constructive and working relationships with others to cooperatively work together and achieve quality products timely and support positive interactions over time.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Basic computer knowledge required.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Required : High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred : 3-6 months experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
A combination of education and / or significant, relevant experience that gives related, current knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully navigate the position may be substituted for required education.
