LOCATION : Reisterstown, Maryland
DEPARTMENT : Finance & Accounting
POSITION SUMMARY :
Responsible for the financial management and accounting practices of the facility, including performing the month-end close to include complex accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role works closely with the Controller and cross-functional departments to maintain the integrity of financial data, streamline accounting processes, and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Oversee the activities of the facility for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, monthly financial statements, forecasts and annual audits and budgets.
- Manage accounting operations including customer invoicing, journal entries, payroll entries, accounts payable entries, accounts receivable entries, bank reconciliations, asset tracking, financial reporting and annual audit.
- Ensure all accounting transactions are recorded in an effective and timely manner in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts.
- Control the auditing procedures, develop and maintain systems of internal controls necessary to protect and safeguard companys assets.
- Understand the business processes of manufacturing companies and possess experience with a manufacturing cost system.
- Ensure accuracy of inventory, inventory valuation, cost of goods sold, workorder / job costs, and production variances.
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams to drive results.

QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field. CPA is a plus.4+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, with progressive accounting responsibilities.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc).Experience with ERP Systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).High level of drive, commitment, and energy.Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and present information to professional services, customers, suppliers / vendors, management and employees.Excellent analytical, problem resolution and project management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Self-motivated and self-directed.Ability to work closely with a senior management team.#zr
