Mechanical Engineer

Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to perform work related to mechanical design and verification of single board computers and rugged systems. Ideal candidates will have strong 3D modeling drawing creation and analytical skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical engineering work necessary to ensure X-ES products conform to provided specifications.
• Support development of new products through analysis-driven decision making.
• Communicate design status across departments and document engineering decisions clearly.
• Create and review complex 3D models assemblies and detailed drawings using Creo.
• Review PCB layouts for mechanical fit constraints and integration within assemblies.
• Evaluate mechanical FEA (modal shock vibration fatigue) and provide design recommendations.
• Execute design verification procedures; interpret test results and drive design improvements.
• Identify and resolve manufacturability issues; collaborate closely with senior engineers program management and manufacturing teams.
• Develop and maintain BOMs; resolve discrepancies through ECOs.
