Job Description

As a Security Officer - Distribution Access Control in Olathe, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points and manage entry procedures to help maintain a secure environment. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, providing a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into logistics and distribution areas.
  • Verify credentials and identification of individuals entering or exiting the location to maintain proper access control procedures.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions, offering directions, and assisting visitors and employees with access-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution facility and its perimeter to observe for irregularities.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or suspicious activities to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and / or site management.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
