• Switchgear Engineer - Entry Level Position Title :  Switchgear Engineer I Department :  Engineering Location :  Cumming, GA Reports To :  Switchgear Engineering Manager Position Summary The Switchgear Engineer supports the design and integration of low-voltage, medium voltage switchgear, and generator / inverter paralleling equipment used in microgrids and distributed energy projects.
• The role works closely with senior engineers, project managers, and controls teams to develop drawings, configurations, and technical documentation that enable safe, reliable, and high-performance microgrid operations.
• This position is ideal for early-career engineers looking to grow into power distribution, switchgear design, and microgrid controls integration.     Key Responsibilities Switchgear Design Assist in designing low-voltage switchgear, switchboards, and generator / inverter paralleling equipment for microgrid applications.
• Develop or update single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, equipment layouts, and control schematics under supervision.
• Support configuration of Bills of Material (BOMs), component selections, and equipment specifications including breakers, relays, PLC modules, metering, and communication hardware.

Learn and apply fundamentals of generator and inverter paralleling—synchronization, load sharing, soft loading, and protective relaying.
