Job Description :

• Administer nursing care within the scope of practice under the direction of a registered nurse, licensed physician, dentist, podiatrist, optometrist, or chiropractor.
• Perform tasks such as administering oxygen, applying sterile dressings, inserting catheters, reinserting gastrostomy tubes, suctioning, and irrigating wounds.
• Collect specimens and perform dialysis treatments, including operating hemodialysis equipment and monitoring patients during procedures.
• Assist healthcare providers with physical exams, treatments, and laboratory tests.
• Provide emergency care by administering first-aid and performing CPR as needed.
• Administer controlled and non-controlled medications in oral, rectal, topical, or injectable form and provide medication instructions to patients.
• Maintain medication accountability records, chart patient records, prepare and count medications, and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
• Observe, document, and report patient conditions, including medication reactions, treatment responses, patient behavior, and progress.
• Prepare and maintain various reports and records such as unusual incident reports, medication reports, and seclusion / restraint logs.
• Provide general nursing and direct care assistance, including taking vital signs, assisting with personal grooming and hygiene, repositioning patients, and responding to patient alarms.
• Facilitate medical appointments and recreational activities for patients.
• Offer guidance and training to lower-level direct care staff in providing general unskilled nursing care.
• Participate in various meetings, including staff conferences, committees, interdisciplinary team meetings, and in-service training programs.
• Order medications and medical supplies, maintain cleanliness of the nurse's station and medication room, and perform clerical tasks such as answering phones and filing.
