Basic Esthetics Instructor (Part-Time AM)

Position Title : Basic Esthetics Instructor

Schedule : Part-Time, In-Person, Monday–Friday, 9 : 00 AM – 2 : 00 PM

Compensation : $25–$35 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Employment Status : Non-Exempt

Position Overview :

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Basic Esthetics Instructor to join our growing team. The instructor will play a vital role in teaching students fundamental esthetics skills and techniques, preparing them for professional success in the beauty and wellness industry.

Primary Responsibilities :

Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on instruction in Basic Esthetics in alignment with state licensure requirements and institutional standards.

Provide mentorship and support to students in achieving competencies in esthetics theory and practice.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance.

Assist with preparing instructional materials and ensuring a supportive learning environment.

Uphold professional and ethical standards in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications (Virginia requirements included) :

Current Virginia Esthetician license in good standing.

Must meet Virginia instructor-licensing requirements by either :

Completing a Virginia Board-approved instructor training course under supervision of a certified esthetics instructor and passing the instructor examination, or

Completing a post-secondary course in teaching techniques approved by the Board.

Must be in good standing and disclose any disciplinary actions or criminal convictions as required under Virginia law.

Minimum of 3 years of professional esthetics experience.

Strong ability to communicate, motivate, and support a diverse student body.

Competency in Microsoft Office / Google Suite and familiarity with online communication platforms.

Ability to foster a positive and patient learning environment.
