Location : Greenfield, IA (50849) – Iowa nursing jobs

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care Emergency Room (Level 4 ER), with 50 / 50 float to Med Surg

Assignment Duration : 13-week travel nursing contract (Start : 11 / 4 / 2025 – End : 2 / 3 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM), every 3rd weekend

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,880 - $2,020

Unit Details : 17 beds, ER patient ratio 4 : 1, ER averages 8-12 patients / day

Charting System : Cerner PowerChart

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Iowa or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience

Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC

Ability to float between ER and Med Surg units (50 / 50 split)

Strong clinical support, communication, and teamwork skills

ER RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in a Level 4 Emergency Room and Med Surg setting

Assess, triage, and manage patients in the ER department

Float to Med Surg unit as needed, providing comprehensive nursing care

Monitor patient status and document care using Cerner PowerChart

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Respond to emergencies and provide trauma care as required

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and best practices
