Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with at least one year of experience and active ARRT (M) certification for a day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a dedicated Breast Center within an acute care Level III trauma hospital
  • Perform 15-20 mammography exams per day with screening and diagnostic mammograms
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • Technologist will not float outside the Breast Center
  • Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM
  • Hologic equipment experience preferred
  • Charting is preferred in Epic EMR
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Previous permanent staff and PRN staff must be separated from the system for one year before returning as a traveler
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application; RTO beyond 7 days or including holidays may require additional approval
  • Teal top and black bottom scrubs are required
  • Parking is provided free of charge
  • All candidates may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
  • Modules must be completed prior to start and report to facility
  • A 60-mile radius rule applies; local candidates are considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent mammography technologist experience
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Active ARRT (M) and SCRQSA (M) required
  • South Carolina state license must be in hand prior to start; license required if applicable
  • Radiation badge required and must be provided by the agency
  • Experience in screening and diagnostic mammograms required; experience with stereo biopsy, breast ultrasound, and ultrasound biopsies is a plus
  • Must provide documentation such as SSN and driver’s license for consideration
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
