Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support the delivery of quality rehabilitative care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The COTA will assist with treatment plans, help patients develop or regain daily living skills, and contribute to a safe, encouraging therapy environment.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out therapeutic activities and treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and functional task practice.
• Document patient progress accurately and communicate updates to the supervising therapist.
• Help assess patient needs and recommend adjustments to treatment approaches.
• Collaborate with the care team to support patient goals and promote independence.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.

Qualifications:

• Current certification and state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Previous experience in rehabilitation or therapy settings preferred.
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
