Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support the delivery of quality rehabilitative care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The COTA will assist with treatment plans, help patients develop or regain daily living skills, and contribute to a safe, encouraging therapy environment.
Responsibilities: - Carry out therapeutic activities and treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and functional task practice.
- Document patient progress accurately and communicate updates to the supervising therapist.
- Help assess patient needs and recommend adjustments to treatment approaches.
- Collaborate with the care team to support patient goals and promote independence.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
Qualifications: - Current certification and state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Previous experience in rehabilitation or therapy settings preferred.
- Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
