Genesis Technical is seeking a full-time Instrument & Electrical Designer with 7-10 years of design experience for an engineering firm near Pearland, TX. This role will support the delivery of complete I / E design packages to clients utilizing Cadworx and MS Office.

The ideal background will include :

• Preparing complete electrical and control engineering packages for assigned projects.
• Perform routine calculations and apply basic electrical knowledge to design power systems including voltage drop calculations, power supply sizing, wire sizing, circuit protection sizing, conduit sizing and cable tray sizing.
• Produce grounding layouts, underground conduit design, area lighting design, motor schematics, low voltage instrument diagrams, single line diagrams, physical plan and detail diagrams, loop diagrams, electrical building layouts , taking cable tray modeling and layout, terminal box tabulations, conduit schedules and interconnection diagrams .
• Develop wiring diagrams for batch controllers including sizing and specification of wiring between field instruments and batch controllers.
• Produce design drawings for control panels for panel fabricators , including panel layouts, schematics, and bills of materials.
• Work closely with the engineering team to obtain pump and product movement equipment sizing for each process involved with the project.
• Review instrumentation specifications developed by the engineering team to ensure voltage, current, and signal requirements meet the needs of each project.
• Coordinate with the purchasing department to review vendor documents to ensure data sheet requirements and specifications are met for quoted equipment
