The Bulwark is hiring : Social Media Associate in Washington

The Bulwark—one of the fastest-growing and most dynamic news outlets in the country—is looking for a social media associate to join our social and distribution team. This person will be the voice of our journalism on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other major platforms. Only candidates that are based in the Washington D.C. area and are available to be on site full-time in our office each day will be considered.

• Execute effective and creative social media strategies from conceptualization to execution to analysis.
• Maintain editorial brand and voice to ensure consistency across all social media platforms.
• Develop KPIs for each platform, with a clear path to achieve and track against key benchmarks.
• Coordinate with the editorial team to consistently promote the organization’s work and products.
• Monitor social engagement performance and identify opportunities for optimization and growth.
• Stay up to date on the latest trends, best practices, platform rules, and competitor activity across all digital platforms.
• Respond to comments, when appropriate, in order to foster a positive community and add value to the user’s experience, engage audiences, and develop conversations.
