Position Overview
The Sr Powerplant Engineer will support the development, maintenance and implementation of powerplant systems for aircraft, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. This role focuses on optimizing performance, reliability, and efficiency of powerplant components while supporting the operational needs of the airline.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and management of powerplant systems for new and existing aircraft.Perform thorough analysis and testing of powerplant components to ensure optimal performance and compliance with airworthiness directives.Provide technical support for aircraft maintenance, inspections, and repairs, including AOG situations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement modifications and service bulletins for powerplant systems.Monitor and evaluate fleet performance and reliability, recommending improvements as necessary.Develop and maintain technical documentation related to powerplant systems and engineering processes.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in powerplant engineering within the airline industry.FAA Airframe and Powerplant license preferred not required.Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and powerplant operations.Experience with turbofan and turbine engines, including maintenance and inspection processes.Familiarity with MRO practices, OEM standards, and airworthiness regulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on reliability and fleet maintenance.BenefitsVacation / PTOMedical / Dental / Vision401k
