Job descriptionStrong commitment to workplace safety. Knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance, and sawmill equipment (preferred). Proficiency with technical machinery and tools. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Highly competitive pay based on experience. O'Malley Timber is seeking a technically skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Tappahannock, VA facility. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with a strong work ethic, commitment to safety, and preferably, experience in the sawmill industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities.
- Carry out preventative maintenance measures to reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct welding, repairs, and installation of equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Train to perform additional duties as required.
