Head Of Total Rewards

Zoom is seeking a Head of Total Rewards to lead its compensation and benefits teams. The role is responsible for managing the design and implementation of innovative, best-in-class rewards strategies to attract and retain top talent. You will report to the Chief People Officer and be a key member of the People & Culture leadership team, collaborating to develop a talent strategy that helps drive the company's success. As a functional expert in global total rewards strategies, you will be responsible for broad-based and executive compensation, shortand long-term incentives, salary and hourly reviews, health, welfare, savings, and pension plans. You will work closely with internal functions (Finance, Sales Ops, IT, etc.) and external partners / vendors to deliver consistent, scalable, and effective creative and market-sensitive Total Rewards strategies. This role will also involve presenting materials to the board's compensation committee.

An ideal candidate will be hands-on and enjoy getting into the details to ensure our programs have a clearly aligned and articulated philosophy, end-to-end process design, and flawless execution. They will use a proactive and strategic approach to ensure that rewards are competitive, drive results, align with company culture, and are understood and valued by employees.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a competitive and comprehensive Global Total Rewards strategy designed to attract and retain world-class talent in a competitive environment and ever-changing economic landscape.
  • Design and implement global compensation and benefits strategies and programs that align with enterprise goals and priorities.
  • Leverage knowledge of market conditions and competitive talent landscape to design tailored strategies for compensation for key talent segments. Direct job analysis, evaluation, market pricing and salary survey initiatives openly and transparently.
  • Partner closely with Talent partners in the development of key frameworks, including promotion guidelines, career ladders, leveling criteria / frameworks.
  • Lead the development of overall compensation strategy, including global programs and long-term incentive design.
  • Effectively manage compensation programs in a geographically dispersed and partially remote workforce. Proactively predict markets and differing compensation strategies in various geographies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations both in the U.S. and internationally, collaborating with internal groups.
  • Partner with outside experts, including consultants, carriers, third-party administrators, and outside counsel, for matters such as benchmarking, plan design, coverage, renewals, and communications. Note that this includes oversight and governance of third-party service providers to ensure company needs are met, they're delivering according to expectations, and we're managing spend effectively.
  • Develop comprehensive and integrated communication strategies that drive awareness, adoption, and understanding of our programs.
  • Serve as functional business owner for Total Rewards, guiding all prioritization decisions related to our systems and technology implementations and enhancements.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure that the materials / collateral used for recruiting are competitive and drive our employee value proposition.
  • Oversee the preparation of the annual benefits budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Drive thought leadership to address current and emerging compensation and benefits trends and issues. Bring the outside-in view, guiding our decision-making process.
  • Lead the Total Rewards team, ensuring the ongoing development of direct reports. Provide constructive and timely performance feedback.
  • Serve as an integral member of the People Experience leadership team to advise on programs impacting the organization as a whole and collaborate with HR business partners to understand and address the unique needs of various client groups; collaborate with colleagues in other key departments, including Finance, Legal, Payroll, Accounting, Tax, Equity Administration, and Corporate Communications (to name a few).
  • Serve as an internal functional expert to our Compensation Committee, owning and driving our agenda relevant to key focus areas.
  • Ensure we have efficient and effective support for employee queries, requests and case management to ensure the best service is provided in a timely manner.
  • Deliver the latest technology-enabled solutions that enable self-service and leverage Zoom's products and solutions for employee-facing use cases.

  • Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, human resources or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in HR; 7+ years of experience in leading compensation and benefits teams.
  • Advanced spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and PowerPoint (or Google Sheets and Slides) skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to benefit programs, compensation programs, company policies, and operations.
  • Experience designing compensation and benefits programs, guidelines and processes and guiding strategy in these areas.
  • Workday-specific, Tableau, ServiceNow, Qualtrics, SAP, ERP experience preferred.
  • Salary Range or On Target Earnings :

    Minimum : $300,000.00

    Maximum : $340,000.00

    In addition to the base salary and / or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value. Note : Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
