Job description

Business Development Manager Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading business development strategy across multiple industry verticals, identifying and cultivating new opportunities, and driving growth and expansion.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities :

  • Identify growth markets, research business requirements, and develop a comprehensive plan to expand market share
  • Develop and implement a multi-faceted sales plan with direct outreach to prospective clients
  • Build collaborative relationships with key decision-makers across target organizations
  • Partner with marketing to design and execute targeted go-to-market strategies for different customer segments
  • Support and participate in marketing campaigns, events, and outreach activities to build brand awareness and engage prospects
  • Understand customer needs and challenges - both short- and long-term - and align solutions to address them effectively
  • Work closely with peers and sales / marketing colleagues to move opportunities through all stages of the pipeline
  • Develop and negotiate competitive pricing strategies
  • Manage opportunities in CRM software to ensure accurate tracking and follow-through
  • Collaborate with leadership on business development targets, goals, and strategies
  • Build a strong sales pipeline sufficient to meet annual growth objectives
  • Establish and maintain networking relationships with customers, industry organizations, and partners
  • Deliver technical presentations and product training to a variety of audiences
  • Stay current with industry trends by attending trade shows, learning sessions, and professional meetings
  • Define sales potential, prepare budgets, track sales activities, and complete required administrative reporting
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless communication and positive customer relationships

Business Development Manager Position Requirements :

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 60%
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Experience leading complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders
  • Proficiency in time and travel management
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Experience with industry associations or professional groups preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in B2B sales; technical or project-based sales preferred
