Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 AM 5 : 00 PM
About the Role
The Estimator plays a key role in helping the company win the right work through accurate, detailed, and competitive bids. This position focuses on civil site projects, grading, utilities, drainage, and other related scopes. While experience with hardscapes is helpful but not required. This role is best suited for someone with strong technical skills whos ready to grow into a leadership position over time.
Responsibilities
Prepare detailed takeoffs, pricing, and proposals for civil site projectsReview plans, specifications, and bid documents to understand scope and requirementsRequest and review quotes from subcontractors and suppliersWork with project managers and field leaders to confirm production rates and material needsEnsure all bids are complete, clear, and accurately reflect the project scopeMaintain organized records of past bids, costs, and project resultsAssist with handoff meetings to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to operationsCommunicate clearly with clients, vendors, and team members throughout the bidding processQualifications
35 years of estimating experience in civil construction (grading, utilities, site work)Strong attention to detail and ability to read construction plans and specificationsProficient in estimating software and Microsoft ExcelOrganized and able to manage multiple bids at onceComfortable working both independently and as part of a teamEager to learn and grow within the companyMetrics for Success
Accuracy of estimates compared to actual job costsNumber of bids completed on timeWin rate and profitability of awarded projectsQuality and completeness of estimate handoffsGrowth in estimating skills and project understanding over timeCompany Mission :
