About The Position

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years

License : RRT required, CRT accepted if held prior to July 1st, 2022

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS

Must-Have :

• NICU, Pediatrics and Adults experience
• Ability to intubate independently for pediatrics and adults

Description :

The Respiratory Therapist assesses patients and clients.

They plan appropriate treatments based on physician orders and evaluations.

Establishing goals and methods of treatment is essential.

The therapist sets up equipment and administers treatments as ordered.

Treatments include oxygen therapy, humidity therapy, airway management, resuscitation, and mechanical ventilation.

They perform postural drainage procedures, chest physiotherapy, BiPAP, CPAP, nebulizers, inhalers, and ABGs.

Some therapists may perform non-ER EKGs during specified hours.

The work environment promotes teamwork and integrity.

The facility aims to have each other’s backs, maintaining the patient’s best interests.

The scheduling requires weekend and holiday commitment, with some on-call duties.

The facility has specific unit requirements and patient management protocols.
