The Role
We are seeking a
Portfolio Management Lead
for our investment team. Working closely with the Head of Investments, this individual will oversee the portfolio management function for our exchange funds, ensuring the highest standards of rigor and maintaining the trust of our growing client base.
Additionally, the individual will be deeply involved in developing new products for concentrated stockholders. This role involves close collaboration across product, marketing, operations, and business development teams, with responsibilities spanning strategic planning, portfolio management, portfolio construction, risk management, quantitative analysis, and investment research.
The ideal candidate is a deep thinker in equities portfolio management, with a strong ability to own and execute on investment strategy and the confidence to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Success in this role requires a results‑driven mindset, direct execution capabilities, and the ability to foster collaboration across teams.
What you’ll do
Portfolio Management and Risk
Manage the exchange fund portfolios and maintain alignment with investment objectives.
Build and maintain risk management, portfolio construction, and rebalancing processes.
Apply long and short equity strategies, hedging methods, derivatives, and other tools where appropriate.
New Product Development
Research, design, structure, and build new products for concentrated stock clients (diversification, borrowing, financial planning, platform infrastructure, and others).
Serve as a product‑minded domain expert who can dive into new areas and figure out practical paths forward.
Partner with the Founder and cross‑functional team to take products from idea to launch.
Research and Idea Generation
Evaluate current and potential managers, strategies, and counterparties to work with, whether on real estate managers, banks, or subadvisors.
Identify tactical opportunities and relevant market trends.
Conduct quantitative analysis, including valuation work, factor modeling, return attribution, and alpha research.
Thought Leadership and Client Support
Contribute to research, white papers, and educational content on concentrated stock solutions.
Support client‑facing teams in conversations with investors, advisors, and institutions.
Help represent Cache in the investment community.
Culture and Collaboration
Support a practical, high‑output team environment built on clarity, trust, and ownership.
Help strengthen the overall investment team and attract strong talent as we grow.
What you bring
Experience
7+ years in portfolio management, investment strategy, or risk management across diverse asset classes, including equities, options, real estate, and private placements.
Strong quantitative skills : modeling, factor analysis, and risk frameworks.
Experience with hedging, options, swaps, or structured solutions. Strong understanding of tax considerations.
Background in concentrated stock strategies or HNW solutions is a plus.
Highly passionate about investing and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.
Mindset

Works well across functions; communicates simply and effectively.
Practical, low‑ego, and comfortable with ambiguity.
Education
Strong academic foundation in finance, economics, engineering, or related fields.
CFA, Master’s, or PhD preferred but not required with equivalent experience.
