Project Manager
The position combines project management responsibilities with in-depth, hands-on technical expertise. The Project Manager is responsible for working with a project team that may include developers, researchers, designers, data scientists as well as operational and clinical representatives.
The role entails leading and managing multiple projects concurrently, building cross-functional plans, budgeting, coordinating resources, managing issues, as well as ensuring timely delivery through the full product development life cycle, including launch and post-launch activities.
Manages product management and data insights (PMDI) and / or digital solutions and engineering (DSE) department projects.
Ensures projects are managed on time within budget, with quality and with sufficient resources.
Point of contact for other departments who wish to initiate projects ensuring there is project alignment without duplication.
Provides regular metrics and risk register to PMDI Leadership.
Essential functions of the job include :
Self-motivated individuals with demonstrated ability to handle multiple high priority demands, manage expectations and achieve objectives. Able to handle large scope and high complexity within agile teams.
Education / experience required :
Bachelor's degree required with 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry or a Master's degree with 4+ years experience in the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry. Project management experience preferred.
Works with independence to lead global, cross-functional matrixed teams. Understanding of clinical data collection, programming, and analysis.
Strong communication skills, ability to proactively communicate with key stakeholders, effectively manage conflicts and negotiations or understand when to escalate to solve problems, and influence outcomes without direct authority.
Strong organizational, analytical, planning, and decision-making skills.
Fluent in written and verbal English.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with JIRA, Smartsheet.
Understanding of the global drug development with ability to lead or support program management processes.
Understanding of ICH and regulatory environment as it pertains to Statistics and Data Science.
In-depth knowledge of one or more data collection systems.
No significant travel expected.
