Mechanical Design Engineer – New Product Development

The Role

• Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
• Arrange machines within plant facilities to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Develop sequences of operations and specify procedures for tool and equipment fabrication to improve product performance.
• Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
• Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
• Inspect machinery, equipment, and tool performance to verify efficiency and initiate corrective action for deficiencies, ensuring product quality.
• Develop manufacturing processes that meet statistical process control standards and facilitate compliance with regulations.
• Provide guidance to engineering on design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
