Job Summary :
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality occupational therapy services. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help individuals achieve greater independence and improved quality of life through therapeutic interventions tailored to their specific needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement treatment plans / IEP's with exceptional supervision from a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Assist clients in improving functional skills in areas such as fine motor development, daily living activities, sensory integration, and adaptive behavior.
- Monitor client progress, document outcomes, and report observations to the supervising OT.
- Educate clients and caregivers on exercises, activities, and use of adaptive equipment to support therapy goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational, state, and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support holistic care and goal-setting.
- Participate in team meetings, in-service training, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications : Required :
Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.Current state certification / licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).NBCOT certification, if applicableExcellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.Preferred :
Experience in pediatrics / schools preferredBilingual (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin) a plus.Benefits :
