The Roof Depot, a leading provider of commercial roofing solutions, is excited to announce three career opportunities for motivated, detail-oriented Project Managers to join our team in the Orlando , Tampa , and Jacksonville metro areas . Residence in the surrounding area is preferred.
As a Project Manager at The Roof Depot, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing a variety of commercial roofing projects from start to finish. This is a great opportunity for individuals who have a strong background in commercial roofing or construction management, possess exceptional organizational and leadership skills, and are passionate about delivering high-quality roofing solutions.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
- Directly responsible for the effective management of the roofing employees, roof subcontractors, and roofing materials for proper installation of all roofing systems
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities, while insuring timely installation of all roofing systems
- Follow established procedures and approved processes
- Coordinate safety training programs for facilities, vehicles, forklifts, and equipment.
- Ensure that the collaboration between work departments is lucid and there are no communication gaps
- Oversee quality control. Appoint teams to analyze the quality of the products and installation, so that in the quest to reach targets, quality of the product and installation does not deteriorate
Required Leadership Skills
Supervision experience, including employee hiring, training and development, and performance review and disciplineA demonstrated ability to lead and motivate; team-player; ability to influence people and get results through others; results orientatedStrong Safety acumen; experience with OSHA a plusAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with employees, vendors, and clientsRequired Skills / Competencies
Must have knowledge of production scheduling, shop operations, and field installationsThis position requires that the person be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently. Ability to think ahead, plan and prepare a 30-day action plans to achieve resultsAbility to analyze problem and formulate and execute a resolutionMust be able to read and interpret drawings and specificationsMust be familiar with product construction and applicationMust be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations; commitment to meet deadlinesWill be computer literate, particularly in shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applicationsMust be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug testEducation and Experience
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required2-5 years Roofing Project Management2-5 years of experience with TPO, EPDM, Shingle and Metal roofing systems, repairs, and installationExperience with construction / OSHA safety protocolsPhysical Requirements
Must be able to tolerate extreme heightsMust be able to independently set-up and climb laddersMust be able to climb roofs of varying pitches and heights (flat to 8 / 12 pitch)Must be able to maneuver in small spacesMust be able to stand, walk and bend for long periods of timeMust be able to lift 80 lbs.Must be able to work outdoors in varying and extreme climate conditionsMust be able to tolerate loud noiseEnvironmental / Other Requirements
Ability to travel with possible overnight stays
