Job description

We are seeking an experienced Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens assignment in West Virginia beginning Jan 5, 2026. This opportunity spans 50 days and offers a schedule of 10-15 shifts per month, each shift lasting 10 hours and including call responsibilities. Preference is given to physicians willing to take call due to site scheduling needs. Job Details Location : West Virginia Facility Type : Hospital Start Date : Jan 5, 2026 LOA : 50 days Provider Type Needed : Anesthesiologist Schedule : 10-15 shifts per month, 10-hour shifts plus call Responsibilities and Duties Provide anesthesia care across a hospital setting Cover cases in 10 operating rooms plus 2 endoscopy suites Manage off-site anesthesia needs as required Utilize ultrasound for regional blocks Participate in call rotation and provide support for labor epidurals (currently transitioning to CRNAs) Ensure patient safety and high-quality care in all perioperative settings Additional Information Must be board certified in Anesthesiology Requires active West Virginia medical license Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required This is not a trauma center and is not in an opt-out state Preference for those willing to participate in call coverage Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
