Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a 3rd year Associate in the IP & Technology Practice of our San Francisco office. GT is consistently among the top firms on the Am Law Global 100; the associate will have the opportunity to work with clients from a variety of industries across the country and will focus on technology, Internet law, crypto, privacy, intellectual property, and complex commercial litigation.

Responsibilities

• Work on Internet law class actions related to consumer protection laws and statutes.
• Handle complex commercial litigation matters involving cryptocurrency / blockchain, startups, venture capital funds and other technology companies, including founder disputes, token disputes, and investigations and enforcement actions from agencies such as the SEC, CFTC, DOJ, and state agencies.
• Contribute to privacy and data security matters, including incident response, litigation arising from incidents, and data breach class actions under statutes like CCPA, CIPA, BIPA, and CFAA.
• Assist with intellectual property matters including trade secret, copyright, trademark, and patent issues, and enforcement related to online platform abuse.
• Engage in litigation matters involving artificial intelligence technology, including copyright, product liability theories, and data collection issues domestically and internationally.
• Support speech-related technology litigation matters, including issues involving Section 230 and defamation.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits

The expected pay range for this position is $235,000 - $260,000 per year. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. Full-time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance with an optional HSA, disability and life insurance, 401K, vacation and sick time, and other voluntary programs.
