Job description

JOB DETAILS BELOW : Shift :

Monday to Friday, 8-hour day between 8 : 30 am to 5 : 30 pm

Description :

  • This position is responsible for researching and screening orders, accurately and efficiently reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions into the computer system in a timely fashion, and / or thinking through and solving escalated prescription issues.
  • Technicians will direct questionable prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification, enter incomplete prescription information once clarification has been obtained, and complete appropriate patient letters.
  • Must be able to resolve and Enter Incomplete Prescriptions after clarification is obtained. Assist / perform other pharmacy functions and duties as required.

Required Qualification :

  • Completion of Pharmacy Tech Training Program, must have an active Arizona State Board of Pharmacy Tech License OR Pharmacy Tech Trainee License.
  • 3+ months of Pharmacy Experience.
  • Have basic Computer Knowledge and Typing Skills.
  • Adept at Reading / Interpreting Prescription Terminology and Medications.
