Job description

Project Manager (IT - Specialized)

Houston TX, Onsite

12+ Months Contract

Job Summary

Must Have

  • 8+ years of application related Project Management experience
  • Ability to perform tactical level activities, while thinking and managing activities strategically
  • Ability to support changes in scope, while maintaining the budget (use of contingency) and schedule
  • Ability to transparently communicate at the senior executive level
  • Exceptional ability to manage cross functional teams
  • Exceptional ability to manage groups (business and IT) who are resistant to change
  • Projects related to data-driven tools
  • Projects related to system transitions (on prem to web)

Nice To Have

  • Experience with accounting automation related projects
  • Experience with contract administration related projects
  • Experience with Organizational Change Management
  • Monday.com
  • Understanding of natural gas processing
  • Understanding of natural gas transportation

    • The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, CIS, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing multiple, complex projects.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading project teams using both internal and external resources.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, negotiation, influencing, organizational, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficient in both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Azure DevOps (TFS), Microsoft Office Suite, and Visio.

    • Top Daily Priorities : :

  • Coordinating multiple IT groups (with shared resources) and vendors to ensure decisions are being reached and issues resolved.
  • Creating and managing the schedule, project lists (action items, issues, key decisions, etc.),

    • Complete first level budget review
