Responsibilities Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a Level I trauma, teaching children's hospital Patient population includes critically ill pediatric patients with respiratory failure, renal failure, trauma, multi-system organ failure, and heme / onc cases Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2 Rotating 12-hour shifts, with the ability to work both days and nights during the contract term Schedule includes 4 weekend shifts per schedule for days and 4-5 for nights No on-call required Floating required to NICU and to act as a resource in the Pediatric ED (no patient assignment in ED) Cerner charting system used Black scrubs required, not provided Responsible for care of a range of critical diagnoses including respiratory and renal failure, trauma, and multi-system organ failure Will provide support in other pediatric units as required within scope, including the NICU and as a resource in the Peds ED First-time travelers are welcome to apply More than 7 days of requested time off requires approval Parking is free on site Requirements Active NM or compact state RN license (pending license accepted) Minimum 1.5 years of PICU RN experience required Certifications required : BLS and PALS Experience with CRRT, ECMO, vents, and inotropic drips required COVID-19 vaccination required, with religious and medical exemptions accepted via proper documentation Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the hospital Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-617829.
