Asset Protection Specialist

Overview

Asset Protection Specialist role at The Home Depot — responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store or stores. Uses tools to minimize loss, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and driving a shrink-elimination culture in the store.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserve evidence, interact with law enforcement, and testify in criminal and civil court actions.
• Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carry out responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
• Demonstrate integrity at all times and respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates while remaining focused on store objectives and supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
