Boeing, Industrial Engineer (Entry-Level or Associate) – Application via WayUp
Company : The Boeing Company. The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Industrial Engineer located in Berkeley, MO. This role is 100% onsite at the listed location. An interim and / or final U.S. Secret Clearance may be required post-start, and U.S. Citizenship is required for program access per government requirements.
Responsibilities
- Apply industrial engineering concepts to optimize products, processes and services to meet program requirements.
- Develop plant layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and work flows.
- Evaluate new techniques and technological developments for integration into production and service operations.
- Design, maintain and optimize the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment and personnel.
- Conduct work flow design and analysis.
- Develop models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provide summary analyses and metrics for leaders and customers.
- Research, design, develop, improve and implement processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost and improve quality for large-scale systems integration.
- Develop and implement plans for facility / factory modifications and revisions to operating methods.
- Create product assembly instructions and standardize assembly practices.
- Prepare operations plans including work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis, and production change management to meet technical goals.
- Support execution planning using project management, planning and scheduling and shop load practices.
- Provide production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility and recovery planning support.
- Ensure compliance with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications (Required) : Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.Preferred Qualifications (Desired) : Level 2 : 2+ years of related work experience with a Bachelor's or equivalent combination of technical education and experience; experience in Lean Manufacturing; experience partnering with key functions in an integrator / lead role; strong continuous improvement mindset.Education & Experience Levels
Level 1 : Typically an advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor) in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry, or equivalent.Level 2 : Typically a Bachelor and 2+ years of related experience, or equivalent.Other Details
