Qualifications for Licensed Pratical Nurses (LPN):

• Must be licensed (in good standing) as an LPN in the State of Illinois.
• Must possess a current CPR Certification.
• Prefer 2-3 years nursing experience

Essential Responsibilities for Licensed Pratical Nurses (LPN):

• Administer all medications, treatments, blood sugar monitoring and other medical care to residents as prescribed by the physician/psychiatrist, according to the facility’s specific policies and procedures.
• Provide emergency care services, as needed.
• Document in the patient’s medical record.
• Provide emotional support and counseling to all residents, as needed.
• Provide resident education regarding medications, treatments and other medical care, as needed.
• Notify physicians of abnormal resident condition, lab values, vital signs, behavior, incidents, and/or reactions to medications.
• Ensure that vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight are taken
