The Role : Safety Director
Safety isn’t just a priority—it’s a core value. As Safety Director, you’ll lead the development and implementation of company-wide safety programs that protect our people and projects. You’ll set the standard for compliance, champion a proactive safety culture, and provide strategic leadership to ensure every job site operates with excellence and care.
We Could Count on You With :
- Creating and maintaining safety policies and procedures that meet OSHA and regulatory standards.
- Establishing emergency response and crisis management plans.
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Acting as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies during audits and inspections.
- Conducting regular safety audits and hazard assessments across job sites.
- Leading investigations of accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions, and implementing corrective actions.
- Developing and delivering safety training programs for employees, subcontractors, and management.
- Promoting a proactive safety culture and communicating objectives to all stakeholders.
- Maintaining records of inspections, incidents, training, and compliance reports.
- Preparing periodic safety performance reports for senior leadership.
- Managing budgets for safety programs and recommending new technologies.
- Leading Safety Committees and collaborating with project managers and clients.
- Coaching Safety Managers on leadership, technical expertise, and behavioral safety strategies.
The Experience That Leads You Here :
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).OSHA 500, OSHA 502, OSHA 510 certifications required.Preferred : CSP, CHST, or equivalent advanced certifications.Minimum 10+ years in safety management within construction or industrial environments.Proven ability to develop and implement safety programs and lead incident investigations.Strong knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and other regulatory standards.Proficiency in safety management software and data analytics tools.Excellent leadership and communication skills to influence and coach teams at all levels.Ability to travel frequently to job sites; valid driver’s license required.What Sets You Apart :
