We're looking for passionate innovators to join our Generative AI and Embedded Software Integrated Solutions (GenESIS) team, where you'll help shape the next generation of embedded platform software powering Blue Origin's entire fleet of space vehicles! As part of GenESIS, you'll work at the exciting convergence of mission-critical embedded systems and cutting-edge Blue Origin Generative AI technology.
Your Impact as a Senior Software Engineer :
You'll leverage your expertise as part of our highly collaborative team, developing essential platform software (drivers, middleware / IO, and more) and innovative tools for varied spaceflight systems. Your work will directly enable every Blue Origin business unit to safely and reliably transport people and payloads to orbit and beyond—making space accessible for all of humanity.
In this position, you will :
- Join an exciting development program where you'll explore varied opportunities and gain hands-on experience across the entire software development lifecycle
- Build cutting-edge platform software for embedded avionics systems, including device drivers, middleware, and applications that power next-generation aerospace technology
- Partner closely with hardware and systems engineers to shape software requirements and create seamless integration across multiple hardware platforms
- Contribute your voice to architecture and design discussions that influence the future of embedded systems
- Drive innovation through performance optimization and implementation of scalable, portable software solutions
- Ensure highest quality by conducting comprehensive testing, debugging, and performance analysis across varied hardware environments

Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field10+ years of experience in embedded software developmentProficiency in C / C++ programmingDeep understanding of real-time systems, multitasking, and synchronization in embedded environmentsExperience with software loaders, device drivers, middleware (I / O, BIT), hardware abstraction, and low-level interfacesKnowledge of multiple hardware architectures (ARM, x86) and RTOS / Linux embedded environmentsExperience with CI / CD environments and tools such as Gitlab, Jira, ConfluenceStrong problem-solving skills and collaborative teamwork experienceExcellent communication skills and commitment to inclusive team culturePreferred Qualifications :
