Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the preconstruction team in planning, design, engineering, drafting, estimating, and business development to ensure projects are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with client goals.
- Oversee all phases of preconstruction, including budgeting, cost modeling, value engineering, risk evaluation, and constructability reviews to optimize project outcomes before construction begins.
- Develop and manage detailed cost estimates, interpret project plans, specifications, and bids, while collaborating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Drive pricing strategies, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide data-driven insights to support bidding and proposal processes.
- Mentor and guide the estimating and preconstruction staff, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes continuous improvement and innovation.
- Coordinate with operations teams to transition projects smoothly from preconstruction to execution, ensuring schedule adherence and quality standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive project information, financial data, and client details.
Position Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field (preferred).10+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or related roles in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.Strong knowledge of construction processes, cost estimation software (e.g., Procore, OnScreen, PlanSwift), and industry standards, preferably in exterior restoration or re-construction.Proven track record in value engineering, bid management, and project budgeting.Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills, with a process improvement-oriented mindset.Ability to multitask, prioritize under pressure, and communicate effectively at all levels
