EBAD seeks an engineer for the position Lead Development Engineer , reporting to the Product Development Manager.

Responsibilities :

The lead development engineer (LDE) is the technical lead on internal and external projects and is responsible leading and mentoring other Development Engineering on all technical and schedule aspects of the project / product from concept through development, qualification and production. Primary duties include :

• Ensuring technical adherence to project and systemrequirements.
• Providing technical expertise to architect and develop high-quality, verifiablerequirements.
• Negotiation and implementation of EBAD standard tailoring for governingspecifications
• Deriving system, sub-system, and component requirements, along with the appropriateteam members, to ensure the design solution meets or exceeds all customerrequirements.
• Ensuring all team-identified risks are captured in the risk management tool and that a robustrisk mitigation plan is established
• Identifying critical interfaces / boundaries and interface verificationplan
• Facilitating requirements and risk collaboration acrossfunctions
• Mentoring team DEs through product performance requirements and developmentprocess
• Ensuring all stakeholders (PM, DE, PCE) are aligned on technicalscope
• Supporting and / or performing technical analysis tosubstantiate team designdecisions
• Technical product line ownership including knowledge management & improvementinitiatives
• Identifying, justifying, and overseeing execution or product line IRAD / OpEx effort
• Assuming Project Chief Engineer roles asassigned
• Leading failureinvestigations and providing engineering support for product line production issues

Requirements :

The successful candidate must have a BS / MS in an engineering discipline and experience in project, design or related engineering experience. Mechanical and / or Aerospace are the preferred engineering disciplines.
