New York Healthcare Job Details Location : Rochester, NY 14642 Healthcare Setting : Level II ICU Stepdown / PCU (Neurosurgery focus) Assignment Type : Travel nursing job Start Date : December 15, 2025 End Date : March 14, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Nursing Shifts : Rotating Days / Evenings / Nights, including weekends and holidays Shift Length : 12-hour shifts Hours per Week : 36 Positions Available : 6 ICU RN jobs Estimated Weekly Salary : $2160-$2210 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown / PCU or ICU nursing experience BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) Experience with high acuity stroke and neurosurgery patients Telemetry nursing experience required Proficiency in neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, 3% NS and cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil / clips, DBS insertion, VP shunts, and seizure management ICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver evidence-based nursing care to neurosurgical and high-acuity stroke patients in a stepdown ICU environment Perform and document frequent neuro checks; manage complex neuro devices (EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains) Administer and titrate critical care drips (3% NS, cardene) and monitor telemetry Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Serve as charge nurse, preceptor, or committee member as needed Maintain service excellence, ongoing professional development, and strict adherence to clinical protocols Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your nursing career with this travel ICU RN job in Rochester, NY!
