Job Overview
The role of the Business Intelligence Manager involves collaborating with both internal teams and external partners to ensure that customer profitability information is accurately obtained, processed, maintained, and made available. With a mix of business insight, analytical prowess, and technical knowledge, this position lays the groundwork for data-driven approaches that drive business growth. A Business Intelligence Manager oversees the implementation and maintenance of business software systems, ensuring they meet organizational needs. They act as a bridge between IT and business departments, translating requirements into technical solutions and improving system efficiency. Additionally, they manage vendor relationships, ensure compliance with regulations, oversee projects, manage timelines, budgets, and resources. They also analyze data to provide insights that guide project strategies and improvements. This role requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills to effectively bridge project management and data analysis.
Additionally, this position works closely with the Sr. Manager of BI to develop optimal strategies for advancing the company's objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Research and review data across platforms to ensure completeness and data integrity, resolve issues when they arise.Manage customer profitability data initiatives, coordinating with internal and external business partners.Work in alignment with internal and external business partners in adapting to meet the changing needs of the business, with a focus on continuous improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver comprehensive strategies.Collaborate with internal and external business partners to set priorities for business and information needs.Manage systems, tools, and processes by becoming skilled and serving as a knowledgeable resource for specific reporting tools (for example, Margin Minder). This involves creating specifications, service level agreements, user assistance, troubleshooting issues, and conducting training sessions.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
