Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Finance & Insurance (F&I) Producer to join our growing team. The F&I Producer will assist customers in securing financing, present and sell aftermarket products, and ensure all transactions comply with regulatory standards. This position plays a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving the profitability and success of the dealership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers to secure financing through dealership-approved lenders, ensuring competitive rates and terms.
  • Present and sell finance and insurance products — including extended warranties, GAP insurance, and maintenance plans — to meet customer needs and dealership goals.
  • Process finance and lease deals accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with lending institutions to ensure prompt deal approvals and funding.
  • Review and verify customer credit applications, negotiate terms, and structure deals to balance customer expectations and dealership profitability.
  • Ensure all deals adhere to compliance standards and documentation guidelines.
  • Partner with the sales team to support vehicle sales and provide training on F&I products and procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of finance and lease programs, as well as relevant compliance regulations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing questions and concerns related to financing options and contracts.
  • Utilize a comprehensive menu-selling process to maximize department profitability and product penetration.
  • Ensure deals are accurately packaged and sent to lenders in a timely manner to expedite funding.
  • Review daily paperwork flow to maintain an efficient turnaround on all deals.
  • Support the sales department in achieving its goals and uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and customer service.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Attend required meetings and participate in ongoing training.
  • Accurately record all work hours and adhere to company timekeeping procedures.
  • Maintain CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) at or above company standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive finance or sales.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets and maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive financing, insurance products, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in dealership management systems (DMS).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
  • Highly motivated, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal compliance requirements.
