My client is a General Contractor based in the Bowie, MD area who is looking for someone to work on government projects. They have specialized in private and government markets for over 25 years and have an extensive pipeline of projects going forward. Their average projects cost is $50M+ and average project size is 80,000 sq ft. They provide an extremely comprehensive benefits package and provide annual bonuses up to 20%.

Job Description

Oversee safety and quality control on federal construction projects across the DC Metro region.

Ensure compliance with EM-385, OSHA, and all applicable safety and quality regulations.

Develop, implement, and maintain project safety and QC plans.

Conduct site inspections, audits, and reviews of as-built documentation.

Provide clear and timely communication with project teams, subcontractors, and leadership.

Support warranty-related responsibilities, ensuring proper follow-up and resolution.

Collaborate closely with the Senior VP (direct report) and other senior leadership.

The Successful Applicant

5+ years of federal government construction experience (required)

Federal construction experience is required (DoD, USACE, GSA, or similar agencies)

OSHA 30 certification required (OSHA 500 / 510 preferred)

Strong working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 safety standards

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software

Exceptional communication skills-both written and verbal-with the ability to lead and influence diverse teams

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to travel to job sites within the DC Metro region
