About The Position

Job Title : Neuro IR Tech

Profession : Medical Imaging

Specialty : Radiology

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 10 Hour Days

Hours per Shift : 10

Experience : Minimum of 1 year of Neuro IR experience required

License : ARRT certification, Vascular Interventional Radiology preferred

Certifications : BLS required

Must-Have : ICU experience required

Description :

General Information :

The facility has 2 Cath labs and 2 Hybrid peripheral / OR.

Candidates must have Neuro IR experience.

IR only experience is not acceptable.

First-time travelers are welcome.

Travelers must reside 100 miles away from the facility.

Patient types will be discussed during the interview process.

This traveler will be a member of the Stroke Team.

ICU experience is mandatory.

Patient Ratios are 1 RN to 1 patient.

Required Certifications :

BLS for both RN and Tech.

ACLS for RN.

NIHSST for RN.

Required Education :

Registered Nurse completion of an approved nursing education program.

Tech must hold ARRT certification.

Required Skills for RN :

ICU experience is a must.

Understanding of endotracheal ventilation and ventilator management.

Experience with tracheostomy patients.

Knowledge of vasoactive and sedation drips.

Ability to safely use paralytics.

Experience in setting up and troubleshooting arterial lines.

Familiarity with external ventricular drains and monitoring techniques.

Knowledge of chest tube management.

Understanding of Swan / Cordis central line catheter use and monitoring.

Experience in recovery and monitoring of arterial puncture sites.

Required Skills for Tech :

Proficiency in sterile technique and scrub technique.

Experience with Siemens machines.

Knowledge of Neuro IR procedures.

Experience with EPIC charting system and Stroke cases.

Ability to circulate for procedures.

Support on the Unit includes Charge Nurse available Monday through Friday.

Charting System used is EPIC.

Floating to other units is not expected.

Scheduling details :

Shift time is typically 0700-1530 when not on call and 0730-1600 when on call.

Call rotation is one week on and two weeks off.

Weekend rotation will be discussed during the interview.

Holiday expectations will also be discussed during the interview.

Time off must be approved by the manager.
