POSITION SUMMARY

At Roundup River Ranch, we see and aim to provide care for the whole child. We provide specialized medical care to each of our campers, and also provide mental, emotional, and social health care and support. The Behavioral Health Lead will be a direct report of the Behavioral Health Manager and will be the front-line support for camper's behavioral health needs, and the as needed support of Cabin staff / volunteers in their care for campers. The Behavioral Health Lead will serve as a primary point of contact and will provide camper behavior support tools, resources, and trainings to seasonal staff in direct care of campers. This residential role can expect to work extended days typical of a camp environment, with regular time off scheduled each day and at least 2 days off after each session.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Job Responsibilities : Behavioral Support

• Provide behavioral health support for campers as needed and lead seasonal staff in supporting mental, emotional, and social health needs of their campers.
• As directed by the Behavioral Health Manager and Cabin Life Team communicate with campers' parents / guardians, as needed, in preparation for the camp session.
• Serve as a resource for summer staff and volunteers in supporting campers in the areas of behavior support, communication, and mental health.
• Support the Behavioral Health Manager providing education opportunities to seasonal staff throughout the summer.
• Identify a mental, social, or emotional need in any individual or group and support using best practices.
• In collaboration with the Behavioral Health Manager, serve as a liaison for behavioral concerns between the cabin life and medical teams at team meetings.

This is a residential position. Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract, and meals will be provided while camp is in session.

$108 / day ($1,080 / biweekly salary)
