This is a full-time, onsite position in San Jose and Sunnyvale, CA.
Candidates must be local to the Bay Area
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering , Computer Science, or Optical Communications
- 1–3 years hands-on experience in optical network labs (BS : 3 years, MS : 1 year)
- Proficiency in Python ; familiarity with other programming languages (Java, MATLAB, C#, JavaScript) is a plus
- Knowledge of L2 / L3 routers and switches; SSH, Telnet, API-based automation experience
- Experience with lab equipment setup, testing, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Unix / Linux environments and scripting
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred Skills :
Knowledge of coherent optical networks and pluggable optical transceiversExperience with test plan creation and execution for optical system trialsPrior exposure to automation tools supporting lab or field trialsKey Responsibilities :
Build, configure, and manage lab setups for optical network demos and trialsHandle routers, switches, and fiber optic connections; perform network configuration (IP setup, CLI)Support shipping, receiving, and inventory of lab equipmentDevelop automation scripts (Python preferred) to streamline lab processesExecute test plans, diagnose issues, and troubleshoot technical problems in lab environmentsCollaborate with FAE and cross-functional teams to support early deploymentsDocument processes and contribute to knowledge transfer within the teamWork Requirements :
