Sr. Payroll Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented temp-to-hire Senior Payroll Specialist for an organization located in the Sacramento area! This role is key in ensuring seamless payroll processing for 350+ employees. Core duties and responsibilities include :

• Process payroll, including personnel action notices, deductions, 401 (k) changes, and benefit coordination.
• Conduct payroll audits and reconciliations (biweekly, quarterly, annual).
• Maintain complex Excel worksheets for payroll and benefits tracking.
• Process accounts payable vouchers for temporary agency employees and monitor agency use against budget.
• Provide responsive and professional customer service to employees and vendors.

Compensation :

The salary range for this position is from $50K to $71K, depending on experience.
