FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Summary You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Budget Branch of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Salary Range : GS-12 : $92,520.00 - $120,282.00 GS-13 : $110,020.00 - $143,027.00 Responsibilities You will formulate budget estimates and present them to the appropriate authorities. You will review budget requests. You will be responsible for interpreting budgetary policies and practices, as well as determining the need for new policies and procedures. You will offer guidance on acquiring and utilizing funds for the organization's programs and activities. You will develop proposals and present alternative methods and sources for funding programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-13 : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing budget administration functions including the formulation of estimates, presenting and defending estimates, reviewing and evaluating budget requests, and / or reporting of obligations and expenditures. Analyzing, recommending, implementing regulatory controls over processes, and acquisition methods of funds. GS-12 : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector with budget administration functions including the formulation of estimates, presenting and defending estimates, reviewing and evaluating budget requests, and / or reporting of obligations and expenditures.
