Salary : $70,000-90,000 dependent on experience

Summary :

UNEX Manufacturing, a family-owned manufacturing company with a long record of success, currently has an opening for a Continuous Improvement Engineer at our Lakewood, NJ location.

This position is primarily responsible for providing plant engineering support for the routine daily operation by performing the following duties.

Reports To : Vice President of Operations

Key Responsibilities :

Core responsibilities include the following; however additional duties may be assigned as dictated by business need :

• Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
• Assesses new part requests and change orders for manufacturability.
• Improves manufacturing efficiency and safety by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment.
• Prepares process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Research, develop and implement solutions for long term reliability with current machinery in the factory.
• Research, develop and implement new processes, equipment, and products.
• Ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations.

This role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, stooping and kneeling as well as the occasional need to move or lift objects up to 50 pounds. Work Environment :

While its very quiet in the office environment, visits to the factory may require hearing protection and safety glasses.
