Job Summary
The Regional Class A CDL Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery and pickup of bulk or packaged materials to and from suppliers or customers. This position requires strong attention to safety, compliance with all transportation regulations, and effective communication with dispatchers and customers.
Key Responsibilities Material Delivery and Receipt
Deliver and pick up bulk and packaged materials safely, legally, and efficiently.
Assist with loading and unloading trailers using walking floors or pallet jacks as needed.
Climb ladders and handle tarps for load covering when required.
Maintain compliance with all commercial driving regulations.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate driver logbooks, trip records, and fuel reports per ICC and DOT regulations.
Complete all delivery and inspection paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Communication and Coordination
Coordinate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any route or timing changes.
Inspect trucks and trailers before and after trips; report maintenance issues or defects promptly.
Provide feedback to dispatch and management regarding scheduling or delivery challenges.
Professional Development and Teamwork
Stay current with all commercial driving regulations and safety procedures.
Participate in driver and safety meetings.
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers.
Contribute to a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Ability to climb ladders to load trailers, secure tarps, and access trailer beds.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to perform work in various weather conditions and environments.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum age : 21 years.
CDL Class A license required.
Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience with a clean driving record.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Availability to stay out up to 4 nights per week (home every weekend).
