Job Description :
- Develop strength and durability performance of vehicle frame, body, and chassis (suspension, axle, bushing) through prediction, evaluation, and analysis
- Prediction : Analytical (hand calculation, design review) and CAE (FEA, MBD, other simulations) methods
- Evaluation : Vehicle input load measurements and bench tests (static and fatigue), by collaborating with technician team members
- Analysis : Data organization and visualization to extract trends, fatigue life calculation, failure analysis, etc.
- Solve problems and develop countermeasures to achieve strength and durability performance targets according to vehicle development schedule.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering2 years' experience working as an engineer (inc. industry co-op / internship, SAE project team leader, etc.)Completed academic coursework in solid mechanics engineering (strength of materials, stress / strain / deflection, static and fatigue failure theories, structures and joining, vibrations) and system dynamicsGeneral Requirements :
Experience with engineering experimentation (planning, measurements, statistical analysis, reporting)Experience with commercial FEA pre-processors, solvers, and post-processorsPreferred :
Experience contributing to a project as a member of a diverse teamStrength Requirements :
