Journeyman Electrician

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems at USAF sites in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. This position requires a high level of expertise, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Key responsibilities include :

• Survey and Inspection : Inspect electrical components, such as power panels, conduit pathways, circuit breakers, and grounding systems. Identify electrical systems using a variety of testing devices.
• Safety and Compliance : Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code. Work with blueprints and diagrams of circuits and wiring to complete inspections.
• Testing and Inspections : Conduct resistance testing and documentation of existing ground systems. Conduct power panel load testing. Analyze and interpret test data to diagnose malfunctions. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Customer Service : Communicate effectively with clients and team. Provide detailed and accurate reports on inspections performed. Offer guidance on the proper usage of electrical systems and appliances to clients.

Location : JBER, AK (On-Site / Office) Hickam AFB, HI (On-Site / Office) Eielson AFB, AK (On-Site / Office)

This position requires an active Secret clearance and will require travel to Alaska or Hawaii for duration of the contract if located outside of AK or HI.
