Call Center Agent

At Ruby, we believe in creating personal connections that help businesses thrive. As a Call Center Agent, you will serve as a Virtual Receptionist, providing the friendly, professional voice our customers depend on, skillfully handling incoming calls and website chats. We're committed to delivering exceptional experiences 24 / 7, 365 days a year. This full-time (40 hours per week) position requires availability to work a weekend day and holidays.

This is an in-office position at either our Chesapeake, VA, or Virginia Beach, VA location. All interviews will take place at our Chesapeake office.

What You'll Do

  • Create exceptional experiences by confidently and skillfully handling incoming calls and chats.
  • Accurately complete over 150 interactions per day, adhering to our service quality and performance expectations.
  • Maintain accuracy and strong attention to detail in written communication, ensuring proper spelling and grammar.
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced inbound contact center environment while utilizing two screens.
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and adherence to your schedule.

Your Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum typing speed of 40 WPM.
  • Proficient computer skills and the ability to multitask using two monitors.
  • A warm and friendly demeanor, with the ability to maintain composure and confidence when assisting emotional or upset callers.
  • A proven track record of self-motivation and accountability.
  • Preferred, but not required :

  • At least one year of experience in a call center or high-volume inbound call role, or
  • Professional / administrative role with light inbound call volume, or
  • Customer service role
  • Office 365 experience.
  • Bilingual Spanish / English skills.
  • Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive Pay : $21 / hour with perfect attendance. Perfect attendance means being on time for the start of your shift, returning on time from all breaks, and completing your full assigned shift. Compensation without perfect attendance is $19 / hour.
