The opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced industrial maintenance electrician who thrives on solving problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll support extrusion and compounding operations, keep equipment running safely and reliably, and help coach newer team members.
Compensation
Pay range : $25.00 – $41.00 per hour depending upon experience. ($4 off-shift premium)
What you’ll do
- Champion safety by following all procedures and ensuring safe work practices.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on pumps, motors, gearboxes, plastic extruders, robots / robot cells, and related production systems.
- Execute preventive maintenance and close out work orders using CMMS software.
- Provide guidance and training to entry-level teammates; work independently with minimal supervision.
- Use electrical test instruments to evaluate circuits and equipment performance.
- Size and install conduit, wiring, breakers, fuses, starters, motors, and related components in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Calibrate and document instrumentation, scales, and balances.
- Wire control panels from drawings and schematics.
- Troubleshoot AC / DC motors and variable speed drives.
- Understand PLC operation; troubleshoot using ladder logic and related documentation.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, manuals, and technical bulletins.
- Operate a forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift; use shop machinery and hand tools.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize your workload to meet deadlines while maintaining excellent housekeeping in the plant and shop.
- Occasionally operate a company vehicle / truck; a valid driver’s license is required.
- Complete other related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of relevant experience and an Associate’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Electrical license preferred.High school diploma or GED.Comfortable reading safety rules, operating / maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; able to write reports / correspondence and communicate effectively.Physical requirements
